Week 6

Well I can't seem to say it enough but Insanity is Insane! I'm starting to get a little bored though. The work outs are great but I have that push before I do it to "want to do it" and its starting to fade. I think I will finish up this session and then Nolan and I are going to do the Intense 4 weeks over since we both kind of slacked this month around and then Nolan and I are going to do p90X. I'm still losing weight which is great but I have a heard time staying on track especially after a 12 hour shift (phew) that makes for a long day. I did manage to reach my pre-preggers weight which was a great mile stone! Yay me!! Well here's hoping for the next 5 weeks :)

Week 3-5 Insanity

So I have slacked a little. I have been able to still lose some weight but I have not made as much progress as I hoped for. That is entirely my fault. I haven't been eating completely with the diet.( I cheated a little ) and I skipped a workout a week. I am kicking it into high gear now since recovery week( which ps is not a recovery) is over and now comes the hard part. Max training!! Supposedly this is more hard core than the other Insanity weeks. I'm a little nervous. I'm not going to lie. But I will say I am only 3 pounds away from my pregnancy weight. :) YAY!!!

Week 3 of Insanity.... Exactly that Insane

Wow this program really does work! It kicks your butt but it also is effective!! 3 weeks in and I have lost 10 pounds thus far. I love it. It's getting alot easier for me to remember to eat healthy and stick to the diet plan set up in the program and I no longer crave my Dr. pepper like I terribly did so the first few weeks. It's a 45 minute workout 6 days a week and the eating plan is 5 small meals daily. Now if I can only survive another 6 weeks of this...

Week 2 of Insanity Workout

Ok so I didn't post for week one but week one was a little hard. I quit soda, sugar, and pretty much anything bad for you. I also work out 6 times a week and so far it paid off. Week one I lost 5 pounds and 3 total inches. This is hard to do but I think I can suck it up for the 9 week program. My hubby is doing this with me so it makes it alot easier. I'm planning to lose 45 pounds. Probably not within the 9 weeks but before swim suit season :) I'll let you know how Week 2 goes.. Wish me luck!

Healthy living vs. not caring

So its the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of this goal to not only weight loss but I've decided healthy living in general. I lost 2 pounds this week. Not as much as I wanted but still I did good. I worked out 4 times this week and eat healthy except my cheat day. So this is the situation. I work at a hospital and since I've been back I have been paying more attention to the patients that come in. After seeing what alot of people "do" to themselves because they just don't care about their health I've decided to make this not only weight loss but a healthier way of living.
I can tell a difference when I eat fruits and veggies instead of only chocolate and "crap". Not saying I'm going to never eat chocolate again.. Lets be honest thats like saying I will never smile again :) But I don't need eat the whole bag of Oreos only a few.
I've also enjoyed working out. I haven't really been able to work out much the last 9 months because I was preggers and didn't want to strain myself too much as I already had issues with my pregnancy. But I can see why people can get addicted to working out. I think that's an addiction I can like.

Goals for this week. Get my 5-6 work outs in no matter what! :) Wish me luck

Summary of Week one

Ok so I am very proud of myself for doing most of what I put out to do this week. My goal was to eat healthy but allow myself two free days and to work out 5-6 times a week. This first week I lost a total of 4.5 pounds which is a great way to start this 8 week stretch! I started this 8 week competition at a gross 187 and am now at 182.5. I will say I'm sure some of it is because this was the week I stopped nursing and the week I went back to work. ( I walk alot with my job) But either way I did eat healthy and did work out a total of 3 days. This next week I am only going have one free day because I will weigh in a day early but will work out 5-6 days and will eat healthy once again. Lets see what I can do in two weeks :)

The start of my journey

Ok so like most women I struggle with my weight. This past two years I have gone through a whole lot of fertility drugs and thankfully also having a child (ironically not from the fertility drugs)which have both caused me to gain a total of 35 pounds. Now is the time I actually get up and do something about it. I start the biggest loser blog this up coming week and am determined to get back down to my HS weight. This will be a tough journey for me as I am a severe emotional eater as well as a board eater... Lets face it I like food :) So this is going to take a lot of self control but I know I can do it.
